Meet Our Pastor

PASTOR PAUL STUTZMAN

Pastor Paul Stutzman began serving as the intentional interim pastor of Hopewell in January 2024. He is a native of Virginia, but has loved calling Winston-Salem “home” since 2015. Paul is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren, and in recent years has enjoyed serving in ministry in two Moravian congregations. He has 15 years of congregational ministry experience, and has additional training from the Center for Congregational Health, where he is certified as an Intentional Interim Minister and a Church Consultant.

Pastor Paul lives in Winston-Salem with his wife Karen and their two children, Kaylee and Josh. When Paul is not pastoring or consulting, he enjoys playing racquetball, guitar, drums, and piddling on projects around the house and the yard.

2024 is an exciting year to be at Hopewell! In our intentional interim journey we will be exploring the congregation’s heritage, discerning God’s mission for the church in the present, recognizing and calling out leaders from the congregation, reviewing and renewing our connections to the wider church and community, and making plans to flourish in the future. We want you to be a part of this process, whether you have a previous connection to the church or have never visited the congregation. Come and see what God is doing at Hopewell Moravian Church!
